Best Overall Off Road Electric Scooter
Qiewa QPower Electric Off Road Scooter
Quick Specs
- 3200Watts (2 x 1600 Watts) of Power
- 660 lbs weight capacity
- 53 mph
- 55 miles max range
- 81 lbs
Qiewa are one of the oldest electric scooter companies that focus on performance. A few years ago their Q1Hummer electric scooter was the fastest scooter in the world with a top speed of around 30mph. Many things have changed since then and there are numerous e-scooters that can match and exceed that top speed. This includes Qiewa’s latest model, the QPower. This is an electric scooter that is designed specifically for off-road performance. Not only does it tower above it’s predecessor’s top speed and range but it also has one of the best off road performances of any scooter ever made.
The QPower has dual 1600W motors to give a total motor power of a staggering 3200W. This gives it a top speed of around 53mph and the 48V 26Ah lithium battery helps it achieve a max range of around 55 miles. The huge 11 inch pneumatic tires, with a super chunky tread give it traction and stability when hitting the trails. The comfort of the ride is helped with a dual spring suspension system and it even has a hydraulic brake. What makes Qiewa one of the best e-scooter manufacturers around is that they also manage to cram their scooters with a number of features you wouldn’t normally expect from performance models. For example, the QPower is foldable, it has an anti theft warning system, a power saving mode, is IP5 waterproof, has a series of front and rear lights, a display and a dual charging interface for quicker charging.
Overall, you will struggle to find such a high performing off road scooter as the Qiewa QPower with as many features and benefits. What we find incredible is that you can riding the trails at 50+mph and then when you’re done, fold it up, put it in the trunk and be off on your way home. It even comes at a fairly reasonable price when comparing to many of the competition. If you’re looking for one of the absolute best off road electric scooters on the market, then the QPower is just that!

Dualtron Ultra Electric Scooter
Quick Specs
- 5400W of Power
- 330 lbs weight capacity
- 50 mph
- 75 miles max range
- 81 lbs
Like Qiewa, Dualtron are one of the best brands for high performance electric scooters. They’re all made very well, have crazy performance statistics and all work well off road. We’ve chosen the Dualtron Ultra as our choice as it’s one of the best Dualtron e-scooters and also probably the best value Dualtron scooter.
The Dualtron Ultra has dual hub motors that give a total output power of 5400W. This is a lot of power and is perfect for off road riding. It allows the scooter to reach a speed of around 50 mph on and off road. This is powered by a 60V 35 Ah LG lithium ion battery. This gives the Ultra a range of around 80 miles! This means you get considerably more range than from the QPower. The full power of this e-scooter is utilised through the big, chunky pneumatic tires that the Ultra has. These are 3.9 inches wide and 11 inches in diameter, which give you a great amount of traction and stability when hitting the trails.
One of the best things about the Dualtron range of scooters is that they are the complete package. You get a huge range of features in addition to the incredibly high performance. For example, the Ultra has a fantastic set of brakes. There is a set of regenerative electronic brakes that allow you to regain a little bit of energy every time you brake. In addition to this there is a high performance rear disc brake that is used as the main method of slowing down. As you would expect from an electric scooter that works well off road, the Ultra has a fantastic suspension system. It’s a full front and rear shock absorption system that softens both large impacts and small vibrations.
The only real downside to the Dualtron range of scooters is the price. For the Ultra you’re going to be looking at around $3,000. This is considerably more than the Qiewa QPower and is starting to edge towards an actual motorbike/moped territory. The Ultra does have the benefit of being able to fold up so can easily be transported in a car. But if you’re looking for one of the best performing off road scooters on the market, and don’t mind spending a premium, then the Ultra is one of the best options available right now.

Best Seated Off Road Electric Scooter
Super Turbo 1000-Elite Scooter
Quick Specs
- 1000 Watt motor
- 300 lbs weight capacity
- 27 mph
- 18 miles max range
- 75 lbs
The Super Turbo 1000-Elite Scooter comes to you from Super Cycles & Scooters, and as is hinted at in the name this is a 1000 Watt scooter, the new and improved version of their previous model the Super Turbo 800-Elite.
The scooter is started with a turn-key ignition and has a twist throttle with a unique Turbo/Econo mode, this means you can choose the type of ride you want, Turbo for speed and Econo for distance. The frame is solid steel and it has great shock resistance, meaning it’s perfect for uneven ground, It also has front and rear disk brakes for strong braking, and quick connect parts for easy replacement. The tires are extra wide, and a recent addition to this scooter are the heavy duty chains and sprockets. This model uses deep cell lead acid batteries, meaning longer run time per charge – up to 18 miles.
Additional features are an LED headlight, a wide comfortable seat, and multiple upgradable parts, for example if you want even more power you can opt for for 48V lithium upgrade kit. This converts it into a faster model for those who want to have an extra bit of fun.
Due to this post being specifically for off road motor scooters I would definitely recommend getting the hill kit, which is an optional accessory. This will give the scooter more power for climbing hills, which have been known to be an issue without the hill kit.
Now we have mentioned this scooter in an earlier post ‘Best Electric Scooters for Commuting’ but i think the Super Turbo thrives as an off road electric scooter; with extra wide tires, recently added heavy duty chains and sprockets, and a powerful 36V motor spinning at 3000 rpm this is one of the most durable off road scooters for sale right now. This is one of the most powerful scooters out there, and it does show in the cost, which is a bit pricier than its competition. However I think Super Cycles & Scooters are offering something with comfort, power and durability that’s hard to beat.

UberScoot
Quick Specs
- 1600 Watt motor
- 265 lbs weight capacity
- 25mph top speed
- 12 mile max range
- 117 lbs
UberScoot Powerboards, formerly known as Evo, is a reliable brand of powerful electric scooters. They’re leagues ahead of your average kids’ electric scooter, while also not being unnecessarily beefy. This specific product is their most powerful electric scooter, it comes to you with a brushless 1600 Watt motor, four 12V batteries and 12” pneumatic knobby tires, so you’ll be hard pressed to find a dirt path or an incline that the UberScoot will struggle with. They have a handy economy mode button, which slows down acceleration and top speed to conserve battery life. Further specs include front and rear disk brakes for quick stopping, front and rear lights, a key ignition, a horn, and a chain driven motor. UberScoot claims that the battery can withstand 250 full cycles before it dies, which is around 3000 miles in total.
The seat has an adjustable height, when the scooter comes in the box the seat is not attached, so you’ll have to assemble that yourself. I’ve heard complaints that it’s tricky to do, however I had no trouble, as for me it was a simple process of opening the latch and slotting the seat into place. The opposite process of removing the seat is purposefully very straightforward as it is quick release, this also means the scooter can be converted into standing rather than seated at any time you want.
The scooter comes in at 117lbs, which is obviously heavier than the other scooters on this list, we find this to be a bit of a shame as since it is folding you’d hope you could carry it around quite easily. However the folding mechanism is very good and you could easily slot this into your car or take it on the train.
I think this is a very reliable scooter, with most of it made from aluminium it’s decently strong and the specs show that it is very powerful. The UberScoot is extremely popular and I can see why, it’s great fun while also being robust and generally high quality.
The UberScoot 1600 Watt has a 60 day warranty.
If you want a cheaper version of this product then UberScoot also offers a 1000 Watt electric scooter for around $150 less, I’d happy endorse this scooter as well, while it’s less powerful than its big brother it still packs a punch when riding and is a whole lot of fun!
The UberScoot 1600W model also made it onto our list of the Top 10 Fastest Electric Scooters with it’s impressive top speed.

Best Folding Off Road Electric Scooter
URB-E Pro GT Folding Electric Scooter
Quick Specs
- 350 Watt motor
- 250 lbs weight capacity
- 18mph top speed
- 20 miles max range
- 35 lbs
The URB-E Pro GT Folding Electric Scooter comes to you from a company who’s CTO was previously a lead engineer at Porsche. This variation of the URB-E, the Pro GT, is designed for a rider that wants maximum acceleration and torque across all terrains on a uniquely designed folding electric scooter. The product is made in America – specifically California – and has a frame that is built with aircraft grade aluminum and carbon fibre, so it’s lightweight, coming in at just 35lbs, and yet you can throw it around without worrying about dents. The URB-E is great for any terrain; it has 10” pneumatic tires perfect for traction, amazing torque, and a coilover shock suspension system. The motor is a 350 Watt brushless geared motor, meaning it can provide large amounts of torque and power, and the handlebars are carbon fiber.
It’s good on uphill journeys due to its acceleration and torque, and will do up to an 18% gradient. The tires are made out of rubber and use a never flat technology, so there is no need to inflate them. To top it off this product has a 1 year warranty.
Though it may look like a complicated scooter it’s easy to collapse and pack away, or wheel around with you if you are planning on walking it anywhere. You can purchase accessories such as a bell, a cup holder, or a smartphone holder.
The URB-E Pro GT is a personal favourite of mine, and I feel that it is built with perfectionism and care. It takes a while to get over the unorthodox shape, but once you get into it you realise what a reliable, robust, and fun scooter it is. I’ve heard only good things about its acceleration, and on relatively flat ground it gets up to its maximum speed of 18mph with no trouble at all. I think this scooter works equally well on any terrain, as you may have noticed it is mentioned in our ‘Best Electric Scooters for Adults’ post, but it is just as reliable on dirt or gravel paths.

Best Cheap Off Road Electric Scooter
Razor RX200
Quick Specs
- 250W motor
- 154lbs weight capacity
- 12 mph top speed
- 40 minutes continuous use
- 46.4 lbs
Razor is known for scooters that are not only good in quality but reasonable in price. Unlike the E300, the RX200 is a Razor e-scooter that is designed specifically for off-road travel, and would be perfect for kids and adults alike. It has heavy duty alloy wheels with 60 PSI off road tires, a disk brake, a high torque chain driven motor, and a lightweight, all steel frame. The larger gear ratio was designed with off road travel in mind for that extra bit of torque when required, and the tires are a sturdy 8 inches. It is powered by two 12V batteries, and comes with a battery charger. The charge time of 12 hours is perfect for an overnight charge but might be inconvenient if you’re planning to do lots of riding during the day. The throttle is twist-grip, so controlling speed is easy and feels natural, as opposed to a thumb throttle.
With this scooter you get the brand name and recognition, so I personally wouldn’t be worried about getting sold short, and you can rest assured that the RX200 will travel over dirt paths, gravel paths and grass with few problems. Saying that, I personally see the weight as a bit of an issue as it is on the heavier side, and if the battery runs out this could become a problem trying to lug it home. However I love the gear ratio, and I think the overall design is simple and easy to grasp, leaving an uncomplicated and effective scooter. Ultimately the Razor RX200 could be an off road scooter for adults or children alike and is probably one of the best value for money off road electric scooters on the market.

Razor E300
Quick Specs
- 280W motor
- 240 lbs weight capacity
- 15mph top speed
- 40 minutes continuous use
- 43 lbs
Read our full Razor E300 Review for a much more in depth look at the pros and cons of this electric scooter.
The Razor E300 is a massively popular electric scooter that’s great for adults or children. It can be used for on road or off road travel, it has a maximum rider weight of 220 lbs and is just as comfortable for a fully grown 6ft adult to ride as it is a child. It is very sturdy, as it is made of stainless steel, and uses a chain driven motor, a twist grip acceleration control and a hand operated rear brake. It has a super sized deck which the average male adult could comfortably stand on, and extra wide 10” pneumatic tires for extra control. The battery is made of two 12V lead acid rechargeable batteries. Some additional features include a retractable kickstand.
This particular scooter is perfect for someone who wants to cruise around town while also going off road onto grassy or gravelly paths. What we like about the Razor E300 is it’s value for money. You can easily find this scooter for less than $200 dollars and yet it still has a great top speed and has extremely good build quality, with the beefy tires and wide deck perfect for your off road adventures. I’d highly recommend this for anyone looking for a reasonably priced off road scooter, regardless of age.

Are off road electric scooters safe?
We wanted to address this before getting into the post, as the short answer is yes, if ridden with care and safety precautions are taken.
However the long answer is anything where a person – especially a child – will be travelling at relatively high speeds on uneven ground has an inherent danger, and electric powered scooters are no different. They should generally be safe, but with the additional speed and power that off road electric scooters offer there are some potential dangers.
When it comes to kids, with careful guidance and being taught to respect the scooter and those potential dangers, most children will have no problems and will be able to safely ride any electric scooter.
We’d highly recommend a helmet whenever riding a scooter, especially off road. Check Amazon for the best scooter helmets.
Extra safety equipment
We’d also recommend the following additional items to reduce any possible injuries.
Final Thoughts
We hope this has helped you get a better idea of the types of all terrain scooters that are available. If you think we missed anything or would like to know more, comment below or connect with us on Facebook.
Razor E300 is NOT designed for off-road use. Off-roading will probably void your warranty and seeing as this is not designed for such use, could cause problems in the scooter:
“The electric scooter is intended for use on flat, dry surfaces, such as pavement or level ground, without loose debris, such as sand, leaves, rocks or gravel. Wet, slick, bumpy, uneven or rough surfaces may impair traction and contribute to possible accidents. Do not ride your scooter in mud, ice, puddles or water. Watch out for potential obstacles that could catch your wheel or force you to swerve suddenly or lose control. Avoid sharp bumps, drainage grates, and sudden surface changes.”

Thanks for pointing this out. We made a detailed review of the E300 and found that it performs quite well off road and uphills as the motor doesn’t get bogged down and there isn’t much strain or reduction in speed. However, you are right that it is not a dedicated off-road electric scooter.
